Peter D. Carey II
I am currently a PhD candidate at the University of California, Merced in the Department of Political Science. During the Fall of 2019, I also worked as a Visiting Researcher in the Research on Conflict and Collective Action (ROCCA) Lab at Vanderbilt University. My research focuses primarily on repression and dissent, looking at how governments make decisions in the face of multiple actors, and how the characteristics of those actors shape the government's response. I also conduct research on civil wars, international institutions, and bargaining.
